A big thanks to Mad Music for their info on this mid-sixties novelty record. Connecticut disc-jockey Jerry Worsham and his backing band the Landslides (whom he never met) cut this 'Stones parody single on PPX records in 1965. Ed Chaplin, owner of PPX and producer on "Get Off Of My Roof" later found himself in hot water when he was sued over unpaid royalties for early Jimi Hendrix recordings that appeared on the PPX label. "Get Off Of My Roof" also appears on the CD collection You Gotta Have Moxie Vol. 2, however this version is sped-up from the original. This single can be found on standard black vinyl or as a red vinyl promo copy.
